Chapter of the First Visit

The First Visit is a scene. The first Visit begins when Midnight Excursion ends.

When First Visit begins:

now the door to the empty flat is unlocked.

Instead of going to the other Drawing Room for the first time:

say "You have discovered a new world! Everything looks similar... but different, too. Maybe better than at home?";

continue the action.

Instead of going to the real Parents' Room during the First Visit:

say "You don't want to disturb your parents."

Instead of going east from the other Drawing Room during The First Visit:

say "Maybe not now... You are not tired yet, and want to explore this other world some more."

[conversation!]

Instead of talking to the other cat about something during the First Visit:

quiz the cat.

Instead of talking at the other cat during the First Visit:

quiz the cat.

Instead of talking with the other cat about something during the First Visit:

quiz the cat.

To quiz the cat:

say "The cat miaows.";

say "'I can help you,' it says, stretching itself.";

say "'It would be sensible of you to bring protection the next time. I'd hang on to it, if I were you. Ask the Misses about their secret.'";

say "'They have something that will help you.'";

now the talisman is known;

now the door to the empty flat is closed;

now the door to the empty flat is locked. [if key is in there... won't be too much of a problem... unless player locked the door... xxx]

The First Visit ends when the talisman is known.
