Chapter of the Kitchen

The Kitchen is a room.

The description is "This is quite an ordinary kitchen. On one side, you see a cooker, a fridge, a freezer and a microwave. The walls are painted yellow.[line break]A nail has been hammered high up into the wall.[line break]You can go east or west."

It is west of the Hallway.

The other printed name is "The Other Kitchen".

The cooker, the fridge, [a freezer] and a microwave are scenery in the kitchen.

Understand "freezer" as the fridge.

Instead of doing anything to the cooker, ignore it.

[Instead of doing anything to the freezer, ignore it.]

Instead of doing something other than examining with the fridge, ignore it.

Instead of doing anything to the microwave, ignore it.

To ignore it:

say "Typical kitchen appliances, maybe a bit dustier than you remember. You needn't worry about them."

Instead of opening the fridge:

say "It's pretty empty. Time for mom to go shopping."

Instead of closing the fridge:

say "It's closed."

The description of the fridge is "It's a big white fridge with some postcards and one shopping list. (It's pretty empty. Time for mom to go shopping.)".

The other description of the fridge is "It's a big white fridge with photos of the other mother, the other father and YOU!"

The postcards are scenery. They are part of the fridge.

The shopping list is scenery. It is part of the fridge.

The family photos are an otherworld item. They are scenery. They are part of the fridge.

The other description of the kitchen is "This kitchen looks like your kitchen at home. On one side, you see a cooker, a fridge, a freezer and a microwave. The walls are painted grey. Cobwebs hang from the ceiling.[line break]A nail has been hammered high up into the wall.[line break]You can go east or west."

The cobwebs are otherworld items in the kitchen. They are scenery.
